HI FREAKS
Welcome to my online world!!!
My name is Flynn McCabe, and the first thing you should know about me is that I'm kind of a witch. :)))
I'm an actor based in Washington DC, and New York City. I just recently graduated from at James Madison University, earning my BA in Theatre with a concentration in Performance and minor in Women and Gender studies .
I love to act and have been passionate about it for as long as I can remember. I'm a trained singer and dancer and an experienced stage manager. I plan on developing more into play-writing and directing, and I'm very excited to begin that journey.
I'm a very hands-on creative. I find joy in making things beautiful, whether it's through acting, my constant embroidery, or my love for interior decorating. When not immersed in these activities, I'm busy with my many nannying jobs, hanging with my close friends, or watching Gilmore Girls for the 100th time.
My Mission as an Artist
I strive to create work that uplifts the voices of the oppressed and challenges systems of inequality. Rooted in the values of Women's and Gender Sexuality Studies, art that is intersectional, that is aware of how gender, race, class, and sexuality shape our identities and our stories.
I believe art should question the structures that limit us. Even in acting, outdated binaries persist—terms like "actor" and "actress" reflect a system that too often reinforces the idea that women and gender-diverse individuals are secondary. I reject that. I believe in breaking those binaries and telling stories that expand our understanding of identity and power.
While women make up the majority of theater audiences, they are still underrepresented as playwrights, directors, and performers. These numbers shrink even more when considering race and sexuality. My work seeks to disrupt that imbalance—by bringing to life characters and stories that resist stereotypes and reflect a broader, more inclusive world
